对向下拉平异议标准回应的局限性研究

摘要


帕菲特提出的向下拉平异议一度给平等主义带来了严峻的挑战。然而在平等多元主义看来，向下拉平异
议并非平等主义无法克服的难题。本文通过研究当代西方学者诉诸的几种平等多元主义回应方式发现，这些回应
方式并未成功地辩护平等主义理论，本文考察了三种后果主义价值聚合方法，发现它们虽然具有拒斥向下拉平的
结论，但是这些聚合方式蕴涵了平等主义无法接受的结论或是与直觉相反的暗示。这些不一致性暴露了这些聚合
方式的局限性，因此，平等主义者需要使用更加令人满意理论来反对向下拉平，平等主义仍需要面对向下拉平异
议造成的难题。
